Car tech

My buddy did some work to his car the other day, added a turbo kit and side exhasts to his mustang. The thing is so fast and runs smooth as butter. He also took it into a repair shop and got his engine cleaned and tuned.

There are a lot of places you can take your car. Check out some of the repair shops in your area.

GREAT NEWS!

AMD and Intel are getting into a price war, this was announced about a week ago it seems, July 23rd, Intel is releasing a new chip to the market, and dropping the price on thier current chips.. including the dual core line. AMD is following suit the next day on the 24th by lowering the prices of thier chips by up to 50%. It is reported that they will be dropping the price of the 3800+X2 chip by 40%, this will bring it down below $200, making it a great buy.

I do not believe that this has been confirmed yet by either company, but the stock market is starting to price the price-war into the companies stocks.

Computer Builds

I am looking to build a new computer. I want to get an AMD 64 proc. PCI E video card, with a TV tuner also.. USB 2.0 connections on the front is important, as is a hefty amount of ram. I want to be able to multi-task on Vista.. and use 2 19" LCD monitors with it too. Shouldnt be to hard to get put together though. I am thinking I can do it for under $700 (monitors not included).

Gaming

The xbox 360 is pretty cool. It had a lot of problems when it first came out though like over heating, scratching game dvds. etc etc. Luckily Microsoft released an update that fixed a lot of the problems. When halo 3 comes out, I am getting a 360 too. I will also get a vga adaptor so I can use my computer monitor with the 360. I dont have an HD TV yet. I will probably be looking to get one of those too in the hopefully near future.

The tech thing

A lot of new tech stuff is coming out in the next few weeks. With the major retailers posting triple digit gains in flat panel TV sales, the tech market is really heating up more than normal.

Nokia and Siemens join forces to better compete against Ericsson in the telecommunications network industry. The partnership will be called Nokia Siemens Networks.

The providers of mobile services, such as T-Mobile, Vodafone or O2, are looking for the technology and equipment that will allow them to provide more content to customers. Analysts have said there are an estimated two and a half billion cell phone customers around the world, this figure is sure to rise as time goes on, with falling phone and service prices.
